Granary Music is the independent record label and publishing company owned and operated by singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer/author/professional wrestling scriptwriter Bob Mould, formerly of Blowoff, Sugar, and Hüsker Dü.
As a record label, the only Granary Music artists are Mould himself, Sugar, and his solo electronica project LoudBomb (an anagram of Bob Mould).
Mould controls the master rights to the entire Sugar discography, and almost all of the solo work he has recorded since 1995. These masters have been licensed to other labels, including Rykodisc, Merge, and Demon. Titles released exclusively as Granary Music include: modulate (Mould), Long Playing Grooves (LoudBomb), LiveDog98 (Bob Mould Band), and Live at ATP 2008 (Bob Mould Band).
Granary Music controls the publishing rights to all of Mould’s compositions. Administration of the composition catalog is handled by BMG.
Granary refers to one of the outbuildings of Mould’s former farm in Pine City MN — an actual granary used to cure hops.
