Bob is pleased to be joined on the Workbook 25 performances by talented cellist, Alison Chesley. As Bob’s long-term bassist, Jason Narducy, is also on these dates it marks a reunion of sorts of Verbow — the band that Jason and Alison performed and recorded in together from the mid-90s through the early 2000s. Bob produced Verbow’s debut album, Chronicles, which was released in 1997.

About Alison: A founding member with Jason Narducy of Chicago band Verbow, cellist Alison Chesley appears on Bob Mould’s Last Dog and Pony Show, as well as records by Broken Social Scene, Anthrax, Russian Circles and Mono to name a few.  As a solo artist she has released three albums under the name Helen Money and has toured with bands such as Neurosis, Sleep, Shellac and Earth.

From Alison: “I’m so thrilled to be able to play these songs with Bob and Jason. Workbook had a huge influence on me as a cellist and musician and totally informs how play and write. It’s a huge honor.”
